Farine Five Roses
The famous Farine Five Roses sign, a massive neon light signage that greets anyone driving into Montreal from the South Shore of the St. Lawrence River, is probably one of Montreal’s most iconic and renowned emblems. Day and night, the sign is visible from many angles of the surrounding area. Strolling around the Lachine canal, one can always see people cycling, jogging and taking a walk, with the presence of this Montreal landmark in the background. One summer day, I stopped to look at this impressive huge sign while a young jogging couple passed by me. I felt lucky for capturing such an interesting dynamic and typical scene, in front of one of Montreal's most iconic sites.
