Cycling Through Art
“Keep walking” is one of Montreal’s most beautiful murals, created by Ola Volo, a Montreal-based artist. As a graphic designer and illustrator, it was only natural for me to fall in love with this folkloric, symbolic and graphic-style mural. Located in the Mile End neighborhood, on the corner of Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Rue Guilbault, I came across this stunning mural painted on a three-story brick building. While admiring how beautifully this mural was integrated within the building windows and doors, a cyclist dressed in red passed by me. I found this moment of “cycling through art” so typical of this part of the city, full of cyclists and amazing wall art.
